To assist keeping pets in their homes, the Drumheller & District Humane Society operates a barrier free pet food bank.

We understand that there are difficult times, if you need pet food, please reach out and we will assist you.

We provide cat food, dog food, and cat litter to those that request. Due to the fluctuating nature of our supplies, we are limited to sharing food and litter that we have in enough quantity to also feed the animals in our care.

Our regular hours are Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 4:00 PM-7:00 PM and Saturday 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Other locations in our community that may be able to assist are the Drumheller Library and the Salvation Army

Mission: To reduce financial barriers to spay/neuter and raise awareness about its importance throughout Drumheller and the surrounding area.
Vision: A compassionate community without animal overpopulation, where prevention is a shared responsibility.

In order to help prevent unwanted or accidental litters of kittens, the Drumheller & District Humane Society has launched a Spay & Neuter Assistance fund.

This fund is intended to provide pet owners in need with some financial assistance to spay or neuter their pets. $100 is available for each surgery paid directly to the vet clinic of your choice.

At this point in time, we are only able to assist with spay and neuter surgeries and cannot assist with other veterinary treatments.
